VERILAST TCHNOLOGY: The bearing coupled with Oxinium anmd highly crosslinked –UHMWPE(XLPE), exhibts low wear charecterstics. Most of the tibial inserts exhibited burnishing patterns with adhesive and abrasive wear. No evidence of fatigue wear or cracking noted. Simulting forces of use showed at three years – 98% lower wear at 30 years – 81% lower more wear caompared to CoCr, no changes in the femoral component and reduced risk of osteoly potential.
