 FELLOWSHIP IN ARTHROPLASTY:

• Srikara Hospital offers both short and long-term clinical orthopedic fellowships to deserving surgeons.
• The fellowship gives a wide experience of the whole spectrum of arthroplasty surgeries to the surgeon.
• The arthroplasty fellowships that are available in India and abroad are more like observer ships. Most hospitals have junior orthopedic surgeons which make fellows observers or at max third or second assistants.
• At Srikara Hospital, a fellow is actually involved in the working of hospital and actively participates as a first assistant surgeon rather than mere an observer. There are only 2 seats for fellowship per month up to April 2025. 
• The minimum qualification is MS (orthopedics) or D ortho. The fellow will be required to help in all clinical work, including patient care. The fellow will be scrubbing as a first assistant, thereby picking up minute details of arthroplasty surgery.
• There is usually a waiting for the fellowship. Interesting candidates may please indicate the time they are willing to join. Usually, the waiting time will be one to two years.
• We recommend orthopedic residents to pre-plan the fellowship at book the fellowship slot during their residency itself so that they can join the fellowship as soon as the MS orthopedic is done. thereby getting the best exposure just after the MS Ortho.

Fellowship fees

1. June 2024 to Feb 2025: 60,000/- Rs Per month.
2. March 2025 to March 2026: 80,000/- Rs Per Month .
3. April  2026 to Dec 2026: 1,00,000/- Rs per Month.

Booking amount: 10,000/- Rs  to be deposited at the time of booking.

The rest of the fees (Fees minus the booking amount ) can be deposited within a week of joining the fellowship.

Refund policy on cancellation/postponing  :

1. Before 6 months of the start of fellowship: full refund of 10,000/- Rs
2.  Between 3 and 6 months: 80 percent Refund of 8,000/- Rs
3. Between 1 month and 3 months: 60 percent Refund of 6,000/- Rs
4.  Less than 1 month of the start of the fellowship: 40 percent  4000/- Rs

If a candidate wants to postpone his slot, he needs to inform us at least 1 month before the onset of the fellowship. In that case, we can postpone to the next available slot free of charge. 

In case the fellow informs for postponing the fellowship less than 1 month before the start of the fellowship, a late fees of 10,000/- will be charged. The next available fellowship slot will be allotted to the fellow.

Fellow duties: Regular ward work, OPD at different centers, Surgical assistance, academic work. 

Fellowship duration:  1 month only Fellow will be rewarded with a fellowship certificate on successful completion of the fellowship.
