This JOURNEY II BCS implant

The traditional knee implant had a restriction that created unnatural motion with an asymmetric, circular design, or with a rotating platform, causing extra effort and discomfort to the patient for a longer period of time.

The JOURNEY II BCS Knee System has been specifically designed through proprietary simulation software (LifeModeler) to address the rapidly changing expectations of patients to return to an active lifestyle, post knee replacement procedure.

VERY LAST TECHNOLOGY:

The bearing coupled with Oxinium and highly crosslinked –UHMWPE(XLPE), exhibits low wear characteristics. Most of the tibial inserts exhibited burnishing patterns with adhesive and abrasive wear. No evidence of fatigue wear or cracks was noted. Simulating forces of use showed at three years – 98% lower wear at 30 years – 81% lower wear compared to CoCr, no changes in the femoral component, and reduced risk of osteoly potential.
