Critical Care – MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit)

Our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is a state-of-the-art 200-bed facility, fully equipped with the latest invasive and non-invasive monitoring equipment to provide the highest level of care to critically ill patients. The unit is designed to handle a wide range of critical conditions, ensuring a comprehensive and personalized treatment plan.

Key Features of MICU:

  • Advanced Ventilation Systems: We use best-in-class touch-screen ventilators with all modes of ventilation, providing customized respiratory support for each patient.
  • Dialysis and Monitoring Equipment: Our MICU is equipped with modern dialysis machines and a site ABG (Arterial Blood Gas) machine for rapid diagnostic results and immediate treatment.
  • Senior Intensivists and Round-the-Clock Care: Our MICU team includes full-time senior intensivists with extensive experience, along with a dedicated intensivist available 24/7.
  • Guided Procedures: Complex procedures such as central line insertions and pleural tapping are performed under ultrasound (USG) guidance, ensuring precision and minimizing risks and complications.
  • Critical Care Nursing: We maintain an optimal nurse-to-patient ratio as per international standards, ensuring the highest standard of care for every patient.
  • Monitoring and Surveillance: Our MICU is equipped with CCTV cameras, allowing consultants to monitor patients remotely for enhanced oversight and care.

Internal Medicine

The Internal Medicine Department at Srikara Hospitals is dedicated to diagnosing and treating a wide variety of medical conditions. Our senior consultants provide outpatient care from 10 AM to 5 PM, offering expert care for a range of common and complex conditions.

Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU)

The Intensive Cardiac Care Unit focuses on patients with life-threatening heart conditions, including heart attacks, heart failure, and arrhythmias. The ICCU provides continuous monitoring, advanced cardiac support, and interventions to stabilize and improve cardiac function, ensuring comprehensive care for patients undergoing critical cardiac issues.

Intensive Neuro Care Unit (INCU)

Our Intensive Neuro Care Unit is designed to care for patients with serious neurological conditions, including stroke, brain injury, and severe neurological infections. Equipped with state-of-the-art neuro-monitoring equipment, this unit ensures that patients receive intensive care under the supervision of skilled neurosurgeons and neurologists.

Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit (NSICU)

The Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit provides specialized care for patients who have undergone neurosurgical procedures. This unit focuses on post-operative recovery, including monitoring and managing neurological status, pain, and potential complications. Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU)

The Respiratory Intensive Care Unit is dedicated to the care of patients with severe respiratory distress, including those with conditions such as Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), severe asthma, or respiratory failure. This unit is equipped with advanced ventilators and other respiratory support systems to assist in managing critical respiratory conditions.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides specialized care for premature infants and newborns with serious health issues.
